Mari: The city-state of Mari, which witnessed the most glorious period of the Akkadian Empire, was the object of Hammurabi's dreams. In 1759 BC, Hammurabi arrived at the gates of Mari to realize this dream. The King of Mari ordered a special shield to be made for the battle he would face Hammurabi. The design engraved on the shield, representing the center of absolute power, is now brought back to life with Luna Merdin.
